Here comes Karan johar’s another big blockbuster as My name is Khan. Shahrukh Khan has acted a role of mental boy who is suffering from some Asperger syndrome. In this movie Shahrukh Khan is all there to prove that he is a Muslim and not a terrorist.
This film will remind you few scene of New York of john Abraham and traces of Kurban indeed. Both have little similarity in story ( that was colour and this is religion), but here this is Shahrukh with good acting, much better direction and a new concept.
The whole story focusses on aftermath of 9/11 incident, how mindset about a Muslim hampered there dignity despite being a resident of that area. Shahrukh ( Rizwan) grew up with his mother (Zarina Wahab) in the Borivali suburb of Mumbai. As an adult, she falls in love with Kajol who is a widow with a child. After the 9/11 incident, he got arrested due to his religion ( Islam), thereafter his role begins, proving himself and his community to explain – Every Muslim is not a terrorist.
Acting wise Shahrukh and Kajol is fantabulous. It reminds me Shahrukh of Swades or Chak De India, which was one of his best acting in his career. kajol has supported him very well. The screenplay by Shibani Bhatija definitely need a big round of applause. Direction by Karan doesn’t leaves a question mark and songs are pretty soft and bit emotional with the best number Sajda.

I am fan of SRK, the film is good but not very good or excellent…It was less than the expectation…Its a 3 star movie. I have never believed Karan’s direction after KANK, KKKG…before I went to see this movie, zoom n other channels giving 5 star moview…so, I thought there should be something special in the moview…but all expectation went into vein…I liked Kurbaan and Newyork then MNIK…Karan u need to improve ur direction quality and SRK stop overacting…pls show some performance which u have done in DDLJ, Darr, Bazigar… kajol , u r superb in this movie…
The movie was awesome and Shahrukhs acting was brilliant to say the least. He was NOT overacting it was just perfect. And Kevin, you said that Shahrukh goes over the top and acts like a retard( which he doesnt) and then you say that he copied Dustin Hoffmans awesome performance from Rainman( which he once again didnt). So what you basically mean is that Dustin Hoffman also acted like a retard and did everything over the top which he of course didnt. Just shows that you have no idea of what you are talking about.
The movie was awesome. Shahrukhs acting left me speechless, it was brilliant to say the very least. He did NOT overact, it was just perfect. Kevin, you said that Shahrukh totally overacted and looked like a retard. To start with, it was a perfect portrayal of an autistic man not a bit of overacting. Second thing is that you say that Shahrukh copied Dustin Hoffmans legendary performance from Rainman. He did get inspired by him but it was NOT copied. Also since you said that Shahrukh acted like a retard you mean that Hoffman acted like a retard also. This just shows you have no idea of what you are talking about. As for me, I am American and I don’t watch that many bollywood movies. My friend took me to see this one and I must say it was awesome especially, as mentioned, Shahrukh and Kajols acting. Just saying so you guys don’t think im biased or an SRK fan, although this movie has turned me into one.

The flim was good, what i like about this film is massage passed by the filmmakers that this world is made up of two kind of people ie GOOD PEOPLE & BAD PEOPLE and also if we look @ determination of rizwan khan my words, its really inspering because the DISABLE PERSON was NOT GIVING UP HIS GOAL to meet the president & tell him that HE IS NOT A TERROIEST was really inspring. the same kind of determination should be there in our life. but ha so far the act by srk, but the real best has not yet come

Ever since his inception into the Bollywood, this SRK guy plays a lot of mind game. He is good at manipulating directors, co stars, destributors, production houses etc. but he was quite successful being a lover boy flaunting his heroins, and was OK till to see him as a lover boy. That was all. Latter he could not digest his stardom/fame/success being questioned by counterparts like Salmaan khan, BigB, Hrithik, and Aamirkhan. He can not digest any body else excells than him. Its a fobia. He can not live with any one else gets succeeding. With recent Ameer khan’s Tare Jameen Par and Gajani and the recent sweet heart movie ” 3 ediots ” Sharukh khan has a series of heart aches and he spending sleepless nights. Specially with Gajani success last year made sharukh like a maniak and starving big time for a good movie that outstands 3edits@box office. he planned to reach maximum number of viewers across the globe and used that Karan Johar ( bitten by English mosquito ) to produce the MNIK so he cud reach the world. just seen the movie in a theatre…
i pity this SRK. poor guy struggling to out beat all records. the movie is all hype, simple mind game, SRKs mind is seen all through the movie.. its not heart touching at all. its a timepass movie to watch at home when no other fun movie is around in any channel. its all manipulated so a lot of world ppl could feel “what it takes being KHAN”. thats all.. he looks retarded and yet a very genious in movie. After all his physic is like a orange about to get rotten. same old sircaustic voice, and same old cheap tricks to convince the viewer sympathy all through the movie. I rate this movie as the hight of SRK’s ignorance. He needs to retire or take up character roles to flaunt aunties.
