Today at a hospital in Thane, Pravin Mahajan – brother of Pramod Mahajan died of a prolonged illness.
He was serving life imprisonment for killing his brother Pramod Mahajan who was a Bharatiya Janata Party leader. He died today due to due to brain hemorrhage.
As per hospital authorities, Pravin was suffering from extensive pontine haemorrhage and was on life support.
Pravin Mahajan fired at his brother Pramod with a .32 Browning pistol inside the latter’s apartment in Mumbai following a dispute.
On December 18 2007, Pravin Mahajan was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was charged with murder under Sec. 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
Fifty-year-old Pravin was in jail for many days, so his health got worst and due to brain hemorrhage he finally died.
