Both kerala and Karnataka state budget for the year 2010-2011 has been announced today. So let us analyze in details regarding the key points of this budget.
Finance minister of Kerala Thomas Isaac announced the state budget and told that this budget is common man friendly budget. He told that the key points of the budget are “an increased outlay for capital expenditure, emphasis on welfare measures, and no additional burden on the common manâ€.
This budget also claims emphasis on higher education and the IT sector- told finance minister.
A new surprise proposal is to establish 8 new PSUs, with an investment of Rs 125 crore. The development comes even as many PSUs are finding the going tough, and the state road transport corporation is forking out Rs 20 crore per month in interest costs.
Karnataka chief minister B S Yedyurappa also announced state budget for upcoming year. The main factors included are –
1000 new Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) to be opened under Public Private Pratnership (PPP )in rural areas.
