JEST 2010 results ARIES Nainital for TCS Part B today

Last week JEST 2010 results for Physics and TCS Part B was announced. Joint Entrance Screening Test 2010 results was declared one week back.

The JEST results for TCS Part B was not announced. This results is scheduled to be announced today.

One can check the results for JEST 2010 on Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES), Nainital official website.

To check the results for JEST TCS part B , go to http://jest2010.aries.res.in/ and click the TCS Part B results for this.

Well till now, this result has not been announced, it will be announced later today afternoon. So just wait and watch.

Lic recruitment 2010 of Apprentice Development officers at LICIndia.in ( ADO officers)

Life Insurance Corporation of India is recruiting many ADO officers ( Apprentice Development officers ) for their company. There is a total of 727 Vacancy for Apprentice Development Officers in LIC.

Acceptance of application fee at Branch Offices of LIC. opens today on 17th March. One can register online today onwards on their official website licindia.in. The written Test for LIC ADO officers is on Sunday, 13th June, 2010.

Selection will be made on the basis of a written test followed by an Interview of candidates who qualify in the written test:
Written test:
The Written Test will be of objective type, multiple choice of two hours duration comprising of the following two papers:
1. Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability.
2. General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Language with Special emphasis
on Grammar and Vocabulary.

Job profile for this – It is primarily a sales supervision job. The selected candidates will be required to recruit agents, train them properly, and help the recruited agents to sell life insurance to maximum number of persons. They will also be required to give prompt after sales service to policyholders. For this purpose considerable movements including tours covering entire area allotted to them are involved.

JEST 2010 results at Aries Nainital website for Physics and TCS part A declared

JEST 2010 results has been declared by the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences ( ARIES) Nainital. The results were announced about 4 hours back.

The results for Joint Entrance Screening Tests has been declared on the official website of ARIES. The results for only Physics and TCS Part A has been announced so far.

The Joint Entrance Screening Test in Theoretical Computer Science is a test conducted across the country. JEST 2010 is on Sunday, February 21, from 10 am to 1 pm. The normal route to the IMSc graduate research program is through an interview, and JEST is one of the means by which we screen students and select them for interview. JEST is conducted for the PhD and Integrated PhD programmes for Theoretical Computer Science in IMSc.

Mysore University BBM results for 2010 declared

Mysore university has finally declared the results of BBM today. The results for this has been declared 5 hours back.

The results for BBM by Mysore University includes both MSS Scheme and 2007 Scheme. The results for BA will be announced on 20th of March on the official website.

Students can check the results for their BBM exam on the official website of University of Mysore. To check you should visit http://results.uni-mysore.ac.in/

For checking you results for 2010, you only need you registration number. Just fill the registration number in the space provided, select degree and year and then you will get your results.

SAIL MTT results for 2009-2010 is out

Finally the much awaited results for Steel Authority of India Limited for the post of management Trainee has been declared.

The results has been declared at the official website of SAIl at sail.co.in.

Gate 2010 results announced at IIT bombay website – Admissions for IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kharagpur open , gate scoring method

Finally at 10 AM this morning the results for GATE 2010 has been announced. The results for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering has been declared just few moments back at IIT Bombay Gate page.

Students should check the result a soon as possible as due to heavy traffic, the servers may become unresponsive.

Students can check the results from the official website of Gate. To see click here for your results. For checking the results you only require your registration number.

Gate scoring method has also been mentioned on the Gate website. and here it is –
The GATE score is calculated using the following formula:

GATE SCORE = 10[ag + sg {(m – a)/s}]
where,

m = marks obtained by the candidate.

a = average of marks of all candidates who appeared in the paper mentioned on this scorecard in GATE 2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.

s = standard deviation of marks of all candidates who appeared in the paper mentioned on this scorecard in GATE 2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.

ag = average (global) of marks of all candidates who appeared across all papers and years 2007-2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.

sg = standard deviation (global) of marks of all candidates who appeared across all papers and years 2007-2010, with all marks less than zero, converted to zero.

The GATE score is set to zero if the value calculated by the above formula is less than zero and the GATE score is set to 1000 if the value calculated by the above formula is more than 1000.

Pi day jokes – Happy Pi day and Albert Einstein Birthday

World is celebrating today Pi day and also this day coincides with Great Albert Einstein Birthday. Pi day is celebrated because it resembles Pi value 3.14.

As from Wikipedia – Pi Day and Pi Approximation Day are two holidays held to celebrate the mathematical constant Ï€ (pi) (in the mm/dd date notation: 3/14); since 3, 1 and 4 are the first three decimal digits of Ï€.

Albert Einstein Birthday is also celebrated today on March 14. This great Nobel Prize winner scientist born on March 14 1879 and is famous for his theory of Relativity e=mc^2.

Similar to Pi day, another Pi approximation day is celebrated on July 22. Its because of the Ancient mathematician Archimedes’ first rough approximation of Ï€ as being 22/7. However, this may be considered misleading, as all cited dates are “approximation days” (since Ï€ is an irrational number) and 22/7 is actually a closer approximation of Ï€ than 3.14 is. Typically, March 14 is more popular for countries using the month/day format and the 22nd of July is more popular for countries using the day/month format.
