Pune Bomb Blast killed 8 People

Today in Pune a Bomb blast occurred which killed almost 8 people, and about 30 persons are injured. The death number will increase after the confirmation by the police of the area.

The explosion occurred at German bakery in the Western part of Pune today few hours from now.

This bakery is in Koregaon Park and a very old establishment. The bomb blast occurred at approximately 6:30 PM. Till now, no terrorist group has taken the responsibility of Blast.

Police has declared high alert over the area after this explosion. An anti terrorism squad has been send to assist the investigation.

Further updates will be provided after the police statement. Name of the dead persons have not been disclosed till now.

Maha shivratri – One of the biggest hindu festival will be celebrated tomorrow on 12th february 2010. Mahashivratri is celebrated on 6th dark night of phalgun month.

On this special day, many devotees keep a whole day fast in order to show his/her devotion to Lord Shiva. At the end of fast they eat fruits only and they are not allowed to corn on the whole day.

It is said in Shiv Puran that, performing pooja of Shiva Linga with six different liquids( dravya) including milk, yoghurt, honey, ghee, sugar and water while chanting Sri Rudram, Chamakam and Dasa Shanthi pleases Lord Shiva the most and so the devotees do the same to please th lord.
