Ananya Chatterjee and Rituparno Ghosh awarded for Abohoman

57th National film awards 2010 winners name has been declared and this year best feature film category award has been won by Kutty Srank.

Ananya Chatterjee has won the best actress in leading role in female category while Amitabh bachchan has been awarded best actor ( male) for his performance in PAA.



Rituparno Ghosh won the best director for the movie Abohoman( Ananya for Abohoman too). Best supporting actress won by Arundhati Nag for Paa, Best supporting actor is Farooq Shaikh for Lahore, Best Hindi film – Paa, Special jury award – Srikar Prasad (for editing Kutty Srank, Pazhasi Raja & Kaminey), Best Film with Social Message won by Delhi6.

The most popular film award was won by Aamir’s 3 Idiots and the best Malayalam film award won by Pazhassi Raja.

Brindavanam audio album released today

Made under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations – Brindavanam movie audio songs was released for the public today. Hottest rising star of the moment Kajal Agarwal is the leading actress in this movie.

This movie has been directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and the actors in lead roles in Brindavanam are NT Rama Rao, Kajal Aggarwal and Samanta.

Rafael Nadal vs M Youzhny US open semifinals match going live

Champions League T20 goes live between Mumbai Indians and Lions today

The first match of Champions league goes live today. Its been played between India hot favorite Sachin’s Mumbai Indians vs Lions at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg.

Playing first Lions scored 186 runs at the loss of 5 wickets and set a target for Mumbai Indians a big total of 187 runs to chase.


Earlier Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to field first. From Lions the highest scorer were JD Vandiar and ND McKenzie. They scored 71 and 56 runs respectively.

From Mumbai Indians side, Malinga was the highest wicket taker. He took a total of 3 wickets out of total 5 wickets of taken by Mumbai. From Mumbai side, Sachin and Dhawan opened to bat and tillnow their are on pitch playing more defensively than required.

Action packed movie with six pack Salman Khan is back with his new version Dabangg. A really entertaining and stuntful movie ready to rock you from inside is back on big screen.

Actor Salman Khan is back after hid old hit movie Wanted in the same storyline but packed with some new styles. Its like those of Rajinikanth and Chuck Norris style that will make you say ” Aich” and force you to whistle at front seat of the movie theatre.


Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan playing the lead role and Vinod Khanna is father of both Khan brothers who are actually again brother in movie too. Vinod Khanna is his step brother and Dimple Kapadia is his mother.

Dialogues unbelievable and really fresh ones and its delivery – If its Salman in his mood, then who can beat him. Totally Gundaa style police waala with little bit of corruption but of course in positive version.

Other movie characters will remind you totally of his last action packed Wanted. Mahesh manjrekar is there, Vinod Khanna is there but the best part which gives this movie a plus one point is daughter Shatrughan Sinha – Sonakshi. indeed a fresh face for Bollywood and will definitely get some good movies after this as well. In her desi style she can obviously beat Katrina or Kareena whoever she meets.

Chulbul Pandey aka RObin Hood Pandey has done fairly good job with his acting. Only the weakest point of this movie is the script. It could have been better and well I think after Once upon a time in Mumbai, its the only movie of the year to watch guarantee full entertainment. So definitely this movie deserves a cool 4 star rating.

Eid in India on Saturday while in Saudi Arabia tomorrow

The festival of Muslim Eid-Ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday in India while it be celebrated in Saudi Arabia and rest of middle east countries tomorrow on friday.

Saudi Arabia started Ramadan on August 11, meaning today is the 30th day of fasting. Saudi Arabia Supreme Court declared yesterday that Eid will fall on Friday.



Most probable date (its confirm now)for Eid celebration in India is Saturday as India began its fasting a day later than Saudi Arabia this year and expectations are that the same will be on Saturday that means day after tomorrow.

Mufti Mohd Mukkaram Ahmed, the Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid in New Delhi told today that – The moon of Shawwal was not sighted today. So, id-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday
