Rajasthan Budget 2011-12 Highlights and key features – By Ashok Gehlot

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok gehlot presented today the Budget for year 2011-12 and this is currently can be called a common man budget.


Here are some of the Rajasthan Budget 2011 highlights and key features that was presented today by the chief minister of Rajasthan state.

Wheat, Pulses and Rice will be tax free was the major announcement that will ease the burden pf poor people to a bigger extent.

A plan for total Rs 28461 crores has been proposed. Relaxation in tax for Kerosene will also ease the pressure from common public( will fetch 30 crore loss to State).

Other items that will have relaxation on taxes wand will be cheaper are jewellery, food in 3 star hotels, feedstock, Milk Products, CFL.

Tobacco products will go costlier, Film Watching in halls will go cheaper. 50000 new teacher recruitment will be there. In next 3 years 12000 police constables will be recruited.

65000 farmers will get electric connections, For road development 4000 crores has been alloted, 145 new lab technician post, new 123 nursing tutors post.

And similarly there are lot of other facilities has been provided to common man this time.

Kilauea volcano eruption video – Big Island of Hawaii

In the Big Island of Hawaii, Kilauea volcanic eruptions is taking place and fountains of lava can easily be seen in the air.



This eruption was initiated today and was very huge and covered the ground of that area with molten rock and metals.

Considering this some areas of Hawaii national park has been closed for the visitors for their safety concerns.

This Kilauea volcano in Hawaii is sending LAVA as high as approximately 60 feet in the air and its looking very dangerous. Watch in this video.

India vs Ireland live match on Sunday 6th at Star Sports and Star Cricket

India after the tie match against England is all set to have a clash with an unexpected rival which rose from a phoenix today against the match with England.


India set a target of 339 runs for England but England could manage only 338 to make a tie and one points to each teams of the clash.

Kemar Rooch claimed first Hattrick of ICC world cup cricket 2011- Watch the video

West Indies today defeated Netherlands with a hug difference of runs and they ended it in a style with Kemar Rooch claiming the first hattrick of ICC world Cup 2011.



West Indies initially made 330 for 8 (Gayle 80, Pollard 60, Seelaar 3-45) and beat Netherlands which scored 115 (Cooper 55* Roach 6-27) and defeated Netherlands by 215 runs.

Kemar Rooch at the end of West Indies Netherlands match claimed successively three wicket and got the victory for West Indian team by a whooping margin of more than 200 runs.

Budget allocation – Budget allocation for Defence sector at more than 1.64 trln rupees, Allocation of Rs.52057cr for education sector, increase of 24% and
Health sector outlay at Rs.26760cr, increase of 20%.

A new revised income tax return form ‘Sugam’ to be introduced for small tax papers
Net revenue loss on account of taxes and duties will be Rs.200 crore
Service tax to result in a revenue gain of Rs.4,000 crore
No excise duty on equipment for UMPPs
Export duty on iron ore pellets withdrawn
20% ad valorem export duty on iron ore
To replace excise with ad valorem duties for cement
Ship-owners allowed duty-free spare parts import
Government intends to spend Rs.2.14 lakh crore as budgetary support for the infrastructure sector in 2011-12
Propose to raise service tax on air travel
Excise and customs duty proposals to result in the net gain of Rs.7,300 crore
