HD mini launched by HTC in India- Price 23k

Yesterday on 11th May HTC Corporation launched HD Mini in India an HTC Sense-based Windows Phone. This global designer of smartphones has refreshed its touchscreen smartphone for India.

This model of HTC focuses on delivering the popular experience of the HTC HD2 in a more compact design.

Some of the main features it includes are capacitive touch for viewing, zooming and resizing websites, Microsoft Office files, PDF documents and pictures with just a pinch of your fingers.

This mobile runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and have 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen HVGA display with 320×480 pixel resolution.

One of the important features is HTC Sense. The HTC HD mini utilizes HTC Sense, a user experience focused on putting people at the centre by making the phone work in a more simple and natural way. Like the HTC HD2, the HTC HD mini continues the same focus on people-centric communication.

The price in India has been set to Rs 23490.00 only and is available at all authorized HTC resellers across the country.

BJP to withdraw support from Shibu Soren’s JMM-led alliance

Following high drama since Soren’s voting against the Cut motions in Lok Sabha, Bharatiya Janta Party has withdrawn from the Shibu Soren-led alliance with BJP.

Today the decision about this came after BJP’s 12-member Parliamentary Board meeting held at the Parliament house.

Son of the Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Hemant Soren told in his explanation that ‘cut motion voting’ was only a ‘human error’ and his party JMM had nothing to do with the Congress party in the state.

BJP senior leaders told that such act is definitely is an act of betrayal, hence it completely unacceptable.

Chirayu Amin IPL interim Chairman after Lalit Modi

President of the Baroda Cricket Association and Vice President of BCCI Chirayu Amin has been unanimously selected as the Indian Premier League Chairman.

Just after the announcement of suspension of former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi, BCCI president Shashank Manohar announced Amin as the new IPL interim Chairman.

Shashank also added that the board’s chief administrative officer, Ratnakar Shetty, would look into the records and documents of the Indian Premier League.

Manohar in a press conference in Mumbai after the meeting told that – In the last 15 days, there were lot of allegations and counter allegations made through media, as a result of which, the board looked into the allegations levelled and took a decision to issue a show cause notice to Lalit Modi, and pending inquiry.

Manohar also told that if Lalit Modi clear his charges in next 15 days then charges against him will be dropped.

New Maruti Wagon R launched by Maruti Suzuki – Features, price and specs

Today Maruti Suzuki launched a new version of its famous model Wagon R. This hatchback WagonR is also known as “The Blue-Eyed Boy”.

Improved interior space, Precise gear shifts, unlike the previously lousy quality, Optional ABS & Dual Airbags on the VXi variant, Maruti’s stellar after-sales quality & network and Better road manners, especially urban ride quality are some of the important features of this New model.

This powered by a K-Series engine (k10B) Wagon R model will cost you around 3,28 lakhs Rupees.

This is an all new platform that will do excellent duty across the globe. This car has been heavily localized to match Indian preferences. There are three trim levels – The LX & LXi are pretty much similar to the outgoing model. It is the VXi where all the action is. An in-dash CD player with 4 speakers, 4 power windows, tilt-adjustable steering, keyless entry with iCats engine immobiliser, central locking, rear wiper & defogger, electrically adjustable mirrors, 60:40 splitting rear seat, 14 inch wheels (13 on the lesser variants) and optional ABS + Airbags.

Maruti has increased the length of this Wagon R car by 75 mm (to 3,595 mm) while the wheelbase increases by 40mm (to 2,400 mm). The new WagonR is also higher & wider at 1700mm & 1495 mm respectively.

RBI credit policy – Subbarao announced annual Policy Statement for the Year 2010-11

RBI Governor Dr. D.Subbarao has just announced the RBI Credit Policy for the year 2010-2011.

The cash reserve ratio, repo rate and Reverse Repo rate has been decide to increase. It has been decided to increase the repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) by 25 basis points from 5.0 per cent to 5.25 per cent with immediate effect, increase the reverse repo rate under the LAF by 25 basis points from 3.5 per cent to 3.75 per cent with immediate effect and increase the cash reserve ratio (CRR) of scheduled banks by 25 basis points from 5.75 per cent to 6.0 per cent of their net demand and time liabilities (NDTL) effective the fortnight beginning April 24, 2010.

The Bank Rate has been retained at 6.0 per cent.

Subbarao also stated that Indiaâ€™s growth-inflation dynamics are in contrast to the overall global scenario and The economy is recovering rapidly from the growth slowdown but inflationary pressures, which were triggered by supply side factors, are now developing into a wider inflationary process.

The Annual Policy statement is organised in two parts – Part A covers Monetary Policy and is divided into four Sections – Section I provides an overview of global and domestic macroeconomic developments; Section II sets out the outlook and projections for growth, inflation and monetary aggregates; Section III explains the stance of monetary policy; and Section IV specifies the monetary measures.Part B covers Developmental and Regulatory Policies and is organised into six sections: Financial Stability (Section I), Interest Rate Policy (Section II), Financial Markets (Section III), Credit Delivery and Financial Inclusion (Section IV), Regulatory and Supervisory Measures for Commercial Banks (Section V) and Institutional Developments (Section VI).

TCS q4 results 2010 announced – TCS Salary Hike 2010

TATA Consultancy Services have just announced the Quarter 4 results of themselves. Financial year 2010 revenues are at 30029 crore up by 8%.

As per TCS Financial results 2010, net profit are at 7001 crore up by 33%. And TCS q4 net profit at 2001 crore profit up by 50.1% Y-O-Y and 9.7% Q-O-Y.

TCS has recommended a final dividend of Rs 4 and a special dividend of Rs 10 on equity share of Rs 1 each of the company for the approval by the shareholders.

There is no official announcement about the salary hike following this 33% up results. But a top executive told that there could be a neat salary hike of the employee.

Also HR experts expect many companies such as Cognizant, SAP, Mahindra Satyam, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Oracle, MindTree and Accenture to offer a pay hike of 7-15% at the operational level and 12-18% at senior levels.

N Chandrasekharan CEO and MD said that – Our ability to react to growth opportunities and execute efficiently has helped TCS deliver a superior performance for the fourth successive quarter. Our volumes have grown and our margins are at near historic highs.

Florida Appliances rebates 2010 at www.rebates.com/florida

State of Florida is offering special rebates for Energy Star appliances. Total national fund of $17.5 Million, that will sell out around 66000 Floridians for the rebates.

The rebates process and rest details about same can be accessed from www.rebate.com/florida.

Some of the qualifying products are 6 ENERGY STAR Designated Appliances:Refrigerators, Freezers, Dishwashers, Clothes Washers, Room Air Conditioners, Hot Water Heaters â€“ Gas Tank-less.

Here is the statement from the official website for rebate. With the launch of the Florida ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program, approximately 66,000 Floridians will be able to receive a rebate for 20 percent of the purchase price of new ENERGY STAR appliance(s) to replace their old energy-inefficient appliance(s) â€“ as long as the purchased appliance is for residential use.

The new ENERGY STAR appliance must be purchased from a Florida retailer between April 16 and April 25, 2010. No Internet purchases are accepted. Please follow the Step-By-Step Directions for applying for the rebate. Click here for step by step directions.

This program was funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is designed to stimulate Floridaâ€™s economy by encouraging consumers to buy new ENERGY STAR appliances as stated by rbate.com/florida website. Purchasing new appliances will help create jobs for appliance manufacturers and retail stores. The program also encourages consumers to save energy, water, and to lower their monthly bills through the use of a more efficient appliance. Rebates apply only to the purchase of the appliance and not to delivery or installation costs.
